The historic Plaza District is now home to the original Velvet Monkey Salon. We're located in the former New State Ice Company building, and have wonderfully renovated the 3,700 sq. ft. of space (built in 1927) to house the salon and expand our vintage boutique. Velvet Monkey Salon earned a reputation for providing quality service in an eclectic yet inviting atmosphere. We'll continue that tradition, and always provide pampering beauty treatments. Whatever your desires may be, from fun and funky hairstyles to a conservative look, our stylists are equipped to handle them. Want to relax? You must try a Swedish massage. We will also continue to support local artists by displaying artwork and selling tickets to art and music events.

Our downtown salon is a cute, urban salon in the heart of downtown Oklahoma City. It is our smallest salon with 6 chairs, and has a very intimate 1950's spirit that will make you feel right at home.
